rivers and lakes provide fishing and boating throughout the year. The
region is noted for rainbow trout, steelhead and salmon fishing.
Winters offer downhill & cross-country skiing and miles of groomed
snowmobile trails. Summer includes hiking, horseback riding, the world
famous Suicide Race and rodeo.

Hunting is a major
factor with excellent big game and upland bird hunting. The
1,706,000-acre Okanogan National Forest includes the Pasayten and Lake
Chelan-Sawtooth Wilderness.

The Washington Pass
Scenic Overlook along the North Cascades Scenic Highway 20 gives a
spectacular view of massive Liberty Bell Mountain and Early Winters
Spires.
